Pink Obsession
Most times, I think, a scene is lit with RED, the photographic consequence is PINK. For me, the essence of pink derives from its proximity to red. Red is fire. Red is DO. Red is NOW. Pink makes me feel easy, cool, ready and immensely capable.
The image below appears to have been taken during some sort of a live musical performance. Perhaps, a rave — lol. I like looking at it, not least for the amazing balance between red and pink that’s been achieved in the composition.
This is a celebratory wallpaper.
Gorgeous Sunrise
I’m big on reclaiming some of the lost majesty of the English language. Cliche, hyperbole, inaccuracy and misuse are the lamentable standards of the modern American tongue. The word gorgeous is, at least for me, a grievous victim of over-use. Not everything can be “gorgeous, dahling”… in fact, I would argue, almost nothing is. Gorgeous is pure. Gorgeous is sumptuous. Gorgeous things fill us up inside. When we encounter gorgeous phenomena, like the sunrise below, their great fleetingness in time is redressed by the permanence these moments may achieve inside our very souls.
